How do vampire names work?
Countess Erzsebet Bathory = Countess (title) + Erzsebet (given, God is my oath) + Bathory (attested family). That stack is the whole trick. Dracula's name is a full sentence of power. Count: a rank the historical Vlad III did not exactly hold, but his land knew. Vlad: ruler, the given name of the prince the Ottomans called the impaler.
